Sexual Orientation Discrimination

The New Jersey Law Against Discrimination provides much broader protection than the federal anti-discrimination laws as it relates to the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered individuals in the workplace.

Despite this protection under the law, the reality is that such employees often face workplaces rife with hostility and discrimination.  In our experience, the most common form of sexual orientation discrimination is harassment that is so severe that it creates a hostile work environment. In order to litigate a case involving the rights of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered employees, the attorneys must be attuned to the type of discrimination such employees face.

Attorneys Richard Schall and Patricia Barasch have nearly 40 years combined experience representing employees in complex employment discrimination cases, including cases involving sexual orientation discrimination.  We enjoy the challenge of tackling the most complex legal issues, taking on the biggest corporations in New Jersey, along with their law firms, and standing up for the rights of our clients to be free from sexual orientation discrimination in the workplace.

If you believe you have been discriminated against in the workplace on the basis of your sexual orientation, please contact our firm by completing the on-line Questionnaire accessible on every page of our website.
